What is the Student Advisory Committee?

As a member of the Student Advisory Committee Program, you'll have the chance to give feedback on the HBE tutoring and mentoring programs from the perspective of a student and come up with fresh, new ideas to make the programs even more effective. Not only that, but you'll also have the opportunity to work with our marketing team to come up with ideas for videos and events related to well-being activities. How to Apply

To apply fill out our application form by following the link or scanning the QR code.

If you’re successful, you will be invited for a behavioural interview within a few days. The final decision will be confirmed within two weeks of your application!

  • Two hours per week including the monthly meeting

    • Partaking in relevant HBE tutoring courses that the student is undertaking for VCE

    • Attending HBE events and providing feedback

    • Ensuring our programs are meeting the needs of the variety of students that seek tutoring and mentoring support

    • Meeting with subject leads, program directors, and other committee members on a monthly basis to suggest program/organisational improvements

    • Involvement in the long-term and short-term planning of HBE’s goals and future direction in all its programs (Tutoring/Mentoring/Leadership)

    • Be mentored by program directors and subject leads

    • Be involved in guiding the direction of HBE - have your voice heard in issues that are important to the youth
